US Stimulus Program : Regulatory Compliance & “Meaningful Use”

US Healthcare is set to undergo several major changes, owing primarily to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Under the federal health IT incentive programs and the stimulus package, beginning in 2011, physicians who demonstrate "meaningful use" of electronic health records (EHR) could qualify for up to $44,000 in Medicare incentive payments. In 2015, the government will enact penalties for health care providers who have failed to demonstrate meaningful use.

NewCreationIT works with small practices, medical centers and hospitals in the USA to:

(1) assist physicians implement a EHR solution using open-source EHR as a free platform to implement a robust, customized, user-friendly, solution that
a. is Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) certified
b. incorporates all components of the "meaningful use” matrix, as it evolves
c. includes laboratory interfaces, electronic claims submission, electronic prescriptions, etc.
d. is tailored to the centers needs and processes

(2) capture existing financial incentives already available such as
a. the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) where you can earn an incentive payment of 2% of their total allowed charges for Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) and
b. incentive program for eligible professionals who are successful electronic prescriber's (e-Prescribers) as defined by MIPPA

(3) provide continuing support to such practices and hospitals to
a. ensure ongoing compliance to criteria for federal incentive payments as policies and standards are established.
b. ensure interoperability which includes interfacing with laboratories and clinical summaries needed for continuity of care, participation in Health Information Exchanges (HIE), etc.
